Google serves compititive results for any frase. Many companies are targeting google and optimizing their websites and webpages to get better rank in google. Even many times people pay money to SEO companies only for get ranked in google. There are some difference between googlebot and other search engines like slurp and msnbot but if any one get rank in top 10 results on google for any compititive keyword then it is possible to get a good rank in yahoo and bing.
AOL is one of the polpular search engine which has partnership with google. It is also known as large engines like google, yahoo and bing because of its huge database and new technologies. Google also has tie-ups with Ask.com, Netscape, Iown.
Yahoo owns and uses a different technology known as Inktomi's. Yahoo has partnership with AllTheWeb, Lycos, Alta Vista.
Msn (bing) does not own anyone. It uses its own database from last couple of years.
